Creating a volumetric scenario
With the Create Scenario form (concept > Concepts > Create Scenario), which is the first step of the Volumetric Concepts workflow, you create a new volumetric scenario or edit an existing one. The volumetric scenario is a container, holding one or more volumetric concepts that are used as input to a volumetric uncertainty calculation. Having more than one concept in a volumetric scenario allows you to apply conceptual uncertainty in your uncertainty calculation (you can assign a probability to each concept).
Volumetric scenarios can only be accessed via the Model drop-down list in any of the forms of the Volumetric Concepts workflow.
Toolbar on the Create Model form
You can copy, rename, or delete your existing volumetric scenarios via the toolbar on this form.

Duplicates the currently selected model in the drop-down list (i.e., the active model). |
|
Opens the Rename dialog, where a new name can be given to the active model. |

Deletes the active model. |
Important
Volumetric scenarios can only be deleted using the
Delete option on the Create Model form.
Delete option on the Create Model form.To create a new subsurface model
- On the Create Model form, select
Create new from the drop-down list. - Type a name for the volumetric scenario in the adjacent text field.
- In the Description field, give a description for your volumetric scenario. This could contain the following:
- Purpose of the volumetric scenario, for example a probabilistic volumetric calculation.
- The concept(s) envisioned and supporting arguments.
- Observations and data.
- Reference to supporting data (e.g., regional studies).
- Click Apply to create the scenario and keep the form open, or click OK to create the scenario and proceed to the Create Concepts step, where you can generate one or more volumetric concepts.
